Never feel dejected. Age is just a number. You’re an
inspiration to many young and old. Think of the impact your living exemplary
life can have on people. Let people be caught saying “I cherish her way of
living”. Never grow old. Still be in
your thirties during the times of great depressions, dejection and anxieties. Be
the “young old”. Just be youthful in appearance, health, demeanor and
brightness.
Still be searching for the Fountain of Youth, without a promise
of rejuvenation, invigoration and stimulation. Remember you can’t buy youth
anymore than you can buy a mental attitude.
So be a “Young Old” who seem to have drunk from the fountain
of youth. And in short what you have really achieved and ingested is a youthful
attitude.
Research has shown that what will keep you alive all of your
life and will help you be one of the “young olds” are three attitudes. They
are:
Pure
optimism- which is the determination to see opportunities in times
of difficulties. Optimism is a kind of heart stimulation. Optimism is
characterized by cheerfulness, which is a happy, warm, positive attitude. These
can enable the optimist to look forward instead of backwards and hopefulness
which is a believer in a better day.
Hope colors everything with a broad, bright hue. Color your
life with a broad brush of optimism. Drink the elixir of optimism, see through
the rose-colored glasses of optimism and you’ll be much younger in all your
life.
Attitude of
forgiveness is number two. Develop the ability to be thankful for
trials, difficulties and challenges. Pure optimism is the attitude of
gratitude. Research have shown that the cells of our body respond, dance with
delight to the music of gratitude. The practice of forgiveness unloads our burdens
and makes us lighter. If you want to lose some weight real fast, just forgive
and accept forgiveness.
The third point
is risk taking. Just be
willing to try things, try the new, the unusual; be willing to take chances.
JUMP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE, to push the envelope. Let me drop my keypad by
saying that optimism, forgiveness and risk-taking will help you keep young all
of your life. They’ll help you be one of the “young olds”
